Ascension

My latest project is a series of acrylic paintings on 12″ x 12″ square canvases, all exploring floral forms and the concept of “Ascension”. Sometimes experiencing beauty in nature can just feel as though something unfathomable is happening right under our noses. It’s undetectable because we simply are too preoccupied to pay attention but if you find yourself in a period of clarity, you can catch a glimpse of the rhythm our particles beat to, and it’s the same as those of the flowers and the trees and all creatures. You can taste the common stardust that we are all made of, and it tastes divine. In that moment, we ascend.
