It’s Springtime and our poor roof, like many in this rainforest city, is covered in moss. There may be little appeal to a moss-covered roof with regard to maintenance and roof integrity but these green shingles speak otherwise. Perhaps we should just have green roofs that are mossy and vegetated on purpose, or perhaps green is an overlooked good-looking building material- nature certainly seems to think so! Since I can’t decide, I’ll settle with celebrating the green, wherever it is fortunate enough to come forth and prosper (until, at least, that time at which we shall get around to cleaning it)!
